I have a black aluminium Stahl-Tek Vekian DAC, it is in mint condition, just over a year old, rrp on these is $25k , My model does not have the latest I2S HDMI connection, hence the reason for sale. I am offering a considerable discount.
Pm or email me for details.
Thanks Keith.

Nice, but it sounds like it was invented by a suicide bomber!

Stahl-Tek Vekian? Sounds like he comes from your neck of the woods, or rather the other side of the forest: Transylvania. ;)

The obscure name is deliberate to justify the price, keep on topic guys and no thread crapping please, get off here if you are not interested in making a purchase of this very fine product (no doubt).

Well actually I had in mind a character in a Saki (Hugh Hector Munro) novel - Sredni Vashtar.

No more of this possible 'thread crapping'; though I am puzzled by Keith's comment that "The obscure name is deliberate to justify the price ...." (?)

that was me who said that as if a DAC is that expensive no one would buy it unless it sounded expensive which it does!

Sorry Keith, I assumed the 'quote' came from the original postee.

Mea culpa

Mike Stahl is the name of the designer , it is a cracking DAC probably the best available at the moment, it is a no compromise design.

Keith,
It may be a bit out of place on a forum that has a thread with 217 posts debating the merits of a £5 interconnect.

Lol... I'm not sure that anyone on any UK forum I know would spend $25k on a DAC, but Keith is still quite right to advertise it. And the very best of luck to him.

The Google rankings here alone will ensure that plenty of folk read this thread! ;)

that is more within the budgets of the mere mortals who frequent these types of forums, sadly not I though.

Hi Keith,

That's most interesting... Is it TDA1541-based, then? :)

Marco.
