I can make available 12 off ECC81 double triode valves. These are split into two groups as follows:
10 off CV455 valves, made by the Polish company Zaerix,
2 off CV4024 valves, no name; simply marked with the valve designation and ‘Made in UK’.
The CV designation is the UK government-cataloguing notation (CV = Components and Valves), and dates back to WWII. The different CV numbers reflect differences in electrode geometry, gettering, and quality of construction and product testing. Electrically both are identical to the ECC81, also known by the US designation 12AT7.
This batch was part of a ‘spares and repairs’ stock used to maintain NATO forces equipment. As such, they are of good quality with a proven track record for reliability.
