Well done, Maria. I absolutely loath painting & decorating and take the lazy way out: I pay someone else to do it. Enjoy some relaxed tunes tonight :)

“hi john.hubby only dances at weddings and hogmanay ”

That’s a shame maria. I was lucky, although I didn’t think so at the time. I was made to go to dancing classes when I was a kid. My dad’s view was if you could dance, even a little bit, you would never be short of female company.
Needless to say, as a teenager I gave it up as soon as possible.
I took it up again in my forties and still try to go on a regular basis. There is always a shortage of men and although a great many men probably think it’s a bit sissy, I love it, dressing up, night out, get to hold a few women in your arms for the evening without all the complications of going on a date :)

I've just redecorated the music room. I've done so much DIY over the last ten years I absolutely detest doing anything these days!

Still need to do the bathroom....

I've been adding bits to our house for over 20 years as the family grows, just got permission for a forth extension/ addition, really not looking forward to it now, come home from work and have to carry on working i'm getting to old for it, i wish some of our pesky the kids would get hitched, move out and save me the grief, i'm thinking of all the hifi rooms i could have

Trying to. In fact trying to ignore the bathroom for as long as possible. My wife's not too bad, I don't get nagged much, but eventually I'll need to do it.

Tell me about it! :0( Already knackered and you have to start on something else. Soul destroying.

hubby says he's going to change our sitting room to a boat shed

Radical! I don't like boats much. I don't like aeroplanes much either.

My next door neighbours bought a boat, a pretty large speedboad which they kept on Loch Earn. They got rid of it because it cost a fortune for something that hardly got used. Nice boat though.

Yes ok but hang on a moment. You said your husband wanted to turn the living room into a boat shed? So either it must be a very small boat, or chuffin big living room!

Great concept though. I've always wanted rats in the living room :0)

Playing Lloyd Cole's Easy Pieces, man that's a good record.

years ago when i was married to the first wife i got offered an organ from an old Chapel they were knocking down but i had to take the organ & pipes out myself within 2 week..I actually planned taking away part of the house upstairs floor so i could accomodate the pipes along the back wall of the living room, i did eventually come down to earth & realise i was being a bit crazy but me being me i would have done this at the time if i was on my own :eyebrows:

Can you imagine that? You spend a fortune building a massive pipe organ into your house, switch it on and it sounds rubbish!
