Profigold or Supra Optical cable

I´m buying an optical cable to connect my Dac and I wonder if I should choose a Profigold or Supra.Both the cables cost the same,30£
These are the cables:
Profigold PGD 5000
Supra Zac

thats a lot of dosh for a optical ....

there are some cheap options on ebay ....after all its mostly plastic or glass !

just had a quick look and you can pay between 5 and 20 pounds ..

even some branded name ones

Hi Nuno,

Zanash makes a good point, but if you're keen to try them, of the two you mentioned, I'd go for the Supra.

If their optical cables are anything like their coaxial ones, you'll be onto a winner.

I use a Supra 'Trico', as the digital interconnect between my Sony CDP and DAC, and in terms of sound per pound, it's superb :)

There may be digital coaxial cables out there better than it, but as yet, I haven't heard them, and I've used ones in the past at up to £500!

Well,I´m trying the Profigold at the moment,and so far is OK.Later I can return it.The Supra I can buy s/h but I can´t return it!

No worries, enjoy. However, if you do try the Supra, I think you'll find it's likely to be better ;)

Hi Marco,
I´m trying right now an Audioquest,much better than the Profigold!
I tryed to borrow the Supra,but didn´t work in my system,something to do with the cable,probably damaged!
You were right,some cables are much better than others,despite beeing 0´s e 1`s

Mark Grant sells some nice glass ones which aren't at all expensive.
