Hello, just wondering if anyone wants one or both of the sl-1210's I have spare.

long story on these, but ill put the short version up first.

2 very good condition hardly used technics 1210's, no lids (well I do kinda, see below), no carts or headhells.

the long story . . . . . . about 7 years ago my brother bought a brand new pair of decks as he wanted to get into DJing, I had a pair for like 10 years before this but they where used for spares in clubs (if needed) and spent half their life in the boot of a car travelling from one afterparty to another, the lids got battered and they where a tool for mixing rather than a cared for possesion.

anyways my brother lasted less than 6 months and decided to get rid, so I bought his from him.

I was also getting bored with the DJ scene about 6 months after and a pal found out I had 4 decks and asked if I would sell a pair, so I swapped the brand new lids and put them on the older decks, and flogged them keeping the almost new decks for myself.

got good money for them too, they cleaned up nice :)

aaaaanyways, I didnt take the new decks out of my house and eventually got offered 2 1200GLD limited edition gold decks, which I bought so my brothers decks where stored in the loft.

I know I will not get much for them as they are but they would both make fantastic mules for modding as they are very low milage decks.

I know they will not fetch big money as they are, and I cant be bothered getting the bits so they are complete or should I buy new lids/hinges and sell them as almost new?

is anyone looking for a project to mod a decent well looked after 1210 ?

they do have lids, the old ones off my old decks, cracked with no hinges, scratched to death and will include them if you wish.

what do you think would be a fair price for them?

Genuine reason for sale, I found someone with 4 1200GLD decks who wanted rid in one go, so im selling these and 2 1200GLD (one is already for sale on ebay) I simply do not need all these decks so somone could grab a genuine bargain.

What price are you willing to split

take one or both, whatever you think is a fair price, I know they wont fetch big bucks with no lids etc but they are genuine low milage decks, id rather someone made good use out of them rather than buying them from me, putting propper lids etc on them then sold them on for a profit.

Sketchy - any pics please? I could well be interested in one of them, especially if John has the other. Do you have the original packaging etc? I'm after a 1210 to mod and fit the Pioneer PL71 arm to.

Thanks. :)

apart from the LTD and the GLD all 1200's are silver, all 1210 are black.

these are what made technics famous for turntables, the mk2's (1210)
