Christ that's bad news. I have a mental condition in which I produce far to much dopamine and have to take a neuroleptic drug to block its influence. On the other hand I find music incredibly tranquilising and just the opposite to dopamine. You can't bloody win.

That fabulous feel good factor and intense chillout is caused by Endorphins and certainly not Dopamine. Someone somewhere has their wires crossed. Dopamine goes on to make Noradrenaline and then Adrenaline which makes you unbelievably hyper which is why I have to take lots of Trifluoperazine to block it all out. Thankfully, it works.
