Like to introduce myself, my name is John and i have been a member over two years but always been content to read what other members are up to. Posted in the classifieds on Friday(Jelco SA750D) and couldn't believe how quickly the arm was sold. Very friendly replies and emails. With that in mind I am now going to pop up now and again and ask the odd question and hopefully someone will know the answer. My system consists ,
Turntable: Michell Orbe, Jelco SA750TE, Denon 103 nude
Phono: Ayre P5xe fully balanced
Amps: Sugden Pre Power Masterclass
Speakers: Usher S520 (with SW520 bass modules on order)
Quite a few wrong turns along the way but getting to where I feel happy. Just like to come home from work, get a book, a drink and put on a record.

Welcome John, always good to say hello to a long-time lurker. Glad the 'private exhibition' space worked for you!

Glad to hear it John - I probably won't be able to help with any of your questions, but I can do "friendly" (most of the time!) and that as you have discovered is the great thing about AoS - far more than just an internet forum, we are a real community that enjoys each others (virtual) company and also meet up in the real world - so much more than just a bulletin board or a place to shift gear. Hopefully you will enjoy getting "stuck in" and get a lot from participating. What sort of music do you play on that great system of yours? And purely vinyl?

Enjoy!

Hi Alex, thanks for looking at my system. Yes, the system is purely vinyl. I listen to Otis Redding, The Band, Creedence. All time favourite albums would include Crowded House Woodface, Joan Armatrading Show Some Emotion, and John Martyn Solid Air. I like albums that mellow me out. You can just relax with all three. Sigur Ros Takk is a recent discovery and one I wish I'd found a lot earlier.
