Wanted Metrosound st60

I used a Metro sound cartridge balance with spirit level for donkies years, i wouldnt use anything else at the time, was in a little black/clear box with orange insert..

Are you really sure Dave? The ST60 is no ST20(e) and the one I had, which was fifteen years old by the late eighties, sounded harsh and not nice at all (full rebuild needed I suspect). it does look funky I think, with its controls as sliders on the flat (dust gets into them though rather quickly).

I do have a standard ST20e which is complete and "just" working, needing a bit of a recap I think. This latter was a very sweet toned little amp, if a little bassy now (could be the caps going off of course).

Sorry, can't help otherwise. Hope you find one you can work on and restore to its original pretty good performance.

Point taken, dude, but at least they've been made to make *some* sort of an effort. A few decent folks have actually stuck around and become good contributors, after having been initially zapped by the 'AoS Police' ;)

As for restricting use of the classifieds section to members who have a dozen posts or more, that wouldn't be too difficult to do, and so we may look into that.

The trouble is, you don't want to impose too much control, as otherwise it spoils the sense of community - there has to be the right balance.

The most important thing is that when people join AoS, they know from day one that this is a community of audio enthusiasts and music lovers, and not simply a faceless 'Internet site' or 'Bulletin Board' that they can milk for their own selfish ends!

Quite simply, there must be some giving before any taking occurs......

But no, not in the sense you're thinking of, dirty boy! :eyebrows:

I agree with your sentiments, Andr'e.

Trouble is, I hate deleting things unless it is absolutely necessary (spam, porn, links to illegal activity, etc), as is smacks of censorship.

Therefore, I'd rather leave the thread intact to serve as an example of what isn't acceptable here, so people get the message loud and clear!

Closing it is certainly a good idea, though, so CLOSED it is.
