I've seriously been considering buying this as my next "upgrade" for my 1210! I was wondering if any other members have used it and if they recommend it.

It's an expensive bit of software & an 180g Test record from Dr Feickert to aid the setting up of turntables, test for turntable speed instead of a strobe, optimal Azimuth, test wow & flutter & measure the resonance frequency of tonearm/cart combos etc. Amongst other things.

Basically a computerised turntable set-up aid!

EDIT: WOW! just looked up the price! Basic "home" edition is 249 EURO, "Pro" version is 399 EURO & the "Pro Bundle" is 579 EURO

Yep its expensive! I've gone just about as far as I can go with the deck with upgrades at this moment in time so now i'm fine tuning. Just little things like changing the position of my listening chair, trying incremental placement of the speakers, cleaning connections etc etc. I moved my chait about 15cms forward an now I have less speaker "bloom"! The adjust+ software will hopefully give more performance from the 1210, but I also have a Garrard 301 and a LP12, I intend getting the 301 up and running this year on an all valve setup. From what I have heard several of the mags use the software to set turntables up for reviewing purposes.

I got Adjust+ just over a year ago, and love it - I agree its not cheap, but it is very good indeed, and when spending over 1k on cartridges, to me it really makes sense to get everything just right, both from a listening perspective and also from longevity of needle life (or at least equal wear due to getting things perpendicular)

Of you were closer to me I'd be happy to demonstrate - and if there are any other members in Hampshire that's an open offer.....

You’ll get used to me after a bit Simon. I’ve got an awful big gob and a brand of humour that needs worldwide tolerance and heavy medication to cope with. Most here just about tolerate me now :eyebrows:

You would probably be disappointed ;) My system is built to my preferences and tuned to my lamentable declining aural capabilities and my current resonating box loosely described as a flat :eek:
It’s not by any means Hi Fi and probably sounds terrible to others but thanks for finding it interesting.
I think it’s a bit different as well ;)

John - I think I was just interested that a) you had gone your own way, with plenty of home-brew kit, and b) that you had gone the PC>>DAC>>HIFI route, which I have also done, but kept the vinyl and added an ADC to digitise it (as well as retain LP playback when I'm in the mood)

I'd also rather hear great music on a crap system than Michael Buble on Kondo, so I guess my "disappointment" would hinge on your musical taste and not your kit/room

Back to Andrew's OP - Feickert kit is great, IMO, but it does appear more costly than when I bought it....but it does give you a nice rosy glow knowing how well everything is set up.....
