After reading the great reviews on these speakers here I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair for a reasonable price (US $1900). I am planning to build the GRF cabinets for these pair based on Speedy.Steve’s plan.

Few things I like to get some help from here,
(1) The speakers woofer cone color is sort of beige (pl. see the picture), I wonder whether that’s common. I have seen pictures of these speakers with either ash or black colored cones. So, I am not sure this is due to the age or these also come in this color.
(2) What are options for re-coning these woofers based on its original spec, I think it may be a good idea if I am going to keep this for long period of time.
(3) Any recommendations for crossover upgrades?
