Wanted- Rothwell attenuators

Hi folks,
Anybody interested in selling a pair of Rothwell attenuators ( RCA) ? Want to try a pair second hand to see if it makes a difference so would prefer modest prices please.

Think he will sell for around £10 also will do any dB you need

I did see the link last night but as there weren't any reviews I thought I'll got for rothwell. I'm not a man of foo yet as my funds are limited,will do some more reading up.:)

Funnily enough, I do have a spare pair. However to be absolutely honest, I would recommend you get a pair from here..

I'm probably going to play around with the Rothwells at a later date in a second system, however the Goldenjacks at £24 +shipping are quite a revelation in my system.

They make everything just feel 'right'. Soundstage improved and much better balance between instruments etc. I've placed a pair between a tube ended DAC (a Dunc Dac in fact), and a Linn Exotic pre. which whilst I could reduce input gain/volume through my Linn Exotic, I now have the volume adjusted to zero on the input but a 14 db goldenjacks attenuator at the back of the pre-amp. As the Dac had a huge mount of gain its sorted everything out now.

Hi Steve,
The Rothwell attenuators are available around a simlar price(second hand) to the goldenjacks pair.If you dont mind,what difference do you find between the goldenjacks version and rothwells?
I have a pair of high efficieny speakers(audio nirvana -12") powered by the LFD pre and power combo and I was thinking of fitting the attenuators to the pre am p connection into the power amp - do you think this is ok ?

To be honest, I just fitted the Golden Jacks and as they worked so fantastically well, I just stuck the Rothwells in a drawer for later investigation.
When I have a minute I'll do a comparison. But if I was you, I'd go with the golden jacks and stop worrying.
