I've been looking all day for a new sofa, were wanting one of those corner sofa's this time as i'm going through one of my complete turn around phases

Any recommended places? some look all nice but you don't know how they are constructed inside, last thing i want is a creeker 6 months down the line, we aint exactly light weights you see...

Is this the Art of Soft-furnishings now then? ;)

I know it's obvious, but mine came from DFS about 8 years ago, and it hasn't creeked one bit (and I'm a bit of a biffa myself.) The leather is going in my seat, though, and has split on the arm where my elbow has rubbed it, but the frame is still solid as a rock. It wasn't one of their cheapies though.

That orange one you've posted is gorgeous, I love orange, my favourite colour.

Ours came from DFS after two years theres no wear marks yet and it get used by a family of six, Marks and Sparks also do some nice ones, take a tape measure to make sure it will fit through the doors though or else you will be taking windows out, some one i know had a nice leather sofa in his flat he did some diy on the place over the years including putting up a banister and spindles when he came to move he couldn't get it down the stairs so he got the hump with it and cut it in half with a hand saw, i pissed myself when he told me

Just make sure the cushions are foam or similar. Ours was over-stuffed fibre and a few years down the line, they're all but collapsed and no amount of "plumping" rescues them. As soon as the house front is sorted in the spring, I want this suite gone. Came from SCS several years ago.

Aye been down today, we agreed on one, just measured & it fits perfect in the corner, 100% real leather..so we're cooking. 10 years ago i wouldnt be seen dead with this type of design but you have to give & take.. Engineered Oak flooring's the next job. :)

Nice one, good luck!

Engineered Oak flooring's the next job. :)

My wife is trying to persuade me to go with wood floors in the living room - I love the look, but dread the difference it will make to the hifi sound compared to carpet... Don't suppose you have that worry being mainly a headphone user these days...

Is there a sofa material which cannot be scragged by cats?(or a product to repel them?)

A large rat trap baited with catnip at every corner of the new couch works well too.
