Having placed my first thread in the wrong section (nagra loses its' shine), thought I'd update in the right place.
It went back to yodel land for repair after 3.5 years of light use.
Nagra don't do things by halves. They fixed the problem, loaded latest updates + decided to replace the drawer motor which they considered wasn't smooth enough in action. No charge for that lot so happy enough, but £130 shipping charges incurred. Never mind.
The dealer also set the max output to 1mv instead of 3.5, having learned that I now use a pre.
Sounds fabo now :)
Also have tried HRS damping plates on top of cdc and pre and will keep 'em. Again, noticeable gains in sound. Didn't like their feet so much and will stick with Stillpoints underneath.
