Hi Terry, welcome to AoS :) Is it me or is it typical that the most modern bit of kit is the one that's not working? :eyebrows:

Hope it gets fixed & runs without a hitch, enjoy your stay

Hi Terry and welcome to AoS  Matlock and the surrounding district sure is beautiful. Years ago I would travel up that way on my bike to camp near Riber Castle with some of my biker friends during the summer months. Apart from the stunning scenery, one thing I remember well is being kept awake at night by the Peacocks that roam the castle grounds, noisy buggers...

Dave...

I can see Riber Castle from my lounge window but cannot hear those pesky Peacocks we are on the other side of the valley :)

How old is it? You do realise (well maybe not which is why i'm mentioning it) that under EU law you actually get a two (2) year warranty? The manufacturer must supply year one & the shop or wherever you bought it from new must supply year two. If they don't want to know ask for the manager & quote EU law at them & get them to call head office ;)

Hi Terry,

Yes it is, The Derbyshire Dales to be precise, lovely part of the country.

Thanks for that.

It's always best putting a region (and also country) on your location details, as not everyone will know the area you live in as well as you do (remember that AoS is an international forum), which is why I put "North Wales" after "Wrexham", as not everyone will have heard of Wrexham, in the same way as not everyone will have heard of Matlock, outside of Matlock :)

Enjoy the forum!

Marco.

Thanks for your help.
It is 4 years old, although I guess I could have argued the UK Sale of Goods Act which gives me some extra rights possibly to 6 years, but I cannot be bothered at 69 years life becomes more for living than arguing. I decided to send it to someone who also does upgrades, which may have been a mistake. I will open a thread when all is resolved and give more details.

Lol - sadly, out with of the areas where I was born, have lived, or have visited (mainly Scotland, Wales and the North of England), my knowledge of UK geography is woefully lacking!

And anyway, you can talk - you still can't find my bloody house from Conwy, despite having been here four times now!!! :lolsign:
