Hi All,
Having a clear out of my workshop and have the following to sell,
3 pairs of b&w DM2 and 2a speakers, cabinets need some work but the drivers and cross overs are ok, grilles are intact, 2 pairs still have the badges.
Happy to split and sell the drivers on their own.
Open to any offers, also have 1 pair of Musical fidelity MC2 speakers in black ash finish, the cabs are in fair condition but grilles and drivers are ok, again offers.
Finally, several leak troughline tuners, all in fair condition, 1 Leak stereo 30 amp in good condition and 1 Leak stereofetic tuner in good condition, again open to offers.
Also have cassette decks and various other tuners and amps that I will be clearing out in the near future.
thanks
Nigel
I wish...... I can smuggle cartridges and little bits in, but not a full size pair of speakers, sadly.
maybe Andr'e should buy a pair of DM2A's and sort out the cabinets, as I believe this is one of his skills?

Hi Dave
I got rid of my 'DM2a'cos they were just too much for the small place i'm in..I actually prefer the black unit 'DM4'
A real shame Andr'e. If I was nearer and better off, I'd ask you to restore a pair for me.
There's something wonderful about the narrow bandwidth HF1300 tweeter, as it's so much better than most domes within its passband. The Coles or HF2000 used to extend it nicely IMO.

I've always said the Celestion 'HF1300'/Coles '4001' combo sounds so fine

Noticed your message from last October.
Do you still have any of the B&W DM2a speaker, drivers etc?
Thanks
John

Hi John,
Yes they are still available, cabinets require a little work but all drivers etc are ok.

Hi,
I know this a blast from the past but you don't happen to have a DW 200/2 bass/mid range speaker unit still about. I'm desperate at the moment.
Thanks,
Roger

Do you need a black surround or a plain one?

Hi Mark,
The front of the chassis is black but I keep the grills on all the time so it doesn't really matter. I posted my unit to Wembley Speakers for a recone and the Royal Mail managed to smash the chassis. Hope you can help.
Regards,
Roger
Ah, you've beaten me to it. Hope you get your DM2A's sorted :)

Hi Mark, i'm not sure Roger will get it chap  If i remember correctly PMs are not activated until you have 5 posts or more...
I think you can see the problem now ;)

Then he'll need to make a couple more posts. How's about one saying that he aspires to toobs and and an old deck his dj mate uses. Should go down well;)

System pics always go down well. Reminds me. I need to start a new thread about my newly acquired speaker cabs.

Hi Mark,
I have no idea how to get around the PM problem. I'm complete new to all this, it's the first forum I've joined. Are you allowed to put your email address up for all to see, it doesn't bother me at all.
Roger.

I'd suggest you simply make one more post Roger, i think that should do it ;)
Don't you think it's warm for October :eyebrows: I haven't turned on the central heating yet & i'm still sitting here in a T shirt

Hi,
Further on in the hifi and music world, my son and I have recorded some music on a Yamaha MT400. It's a 4 input mixing desk (3 band eq) and records down to 4 track on a cassette at 9.5 i.p.s (double speed) with DBX noise reduction. We are also building up the mini studio with a Teac A3340 4 track reel to reel and a Revox B77.
Analogue forever (well that may be watered down when I get this Clone amp together)
Regards,
Roger

Hi Roger,
Well, you've posted in the Welcome section & you've done enough posting to enable you to use the PM facility. There's a handy 'How To...' thread (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7549) here.
You can allow anyone who fancies reading it to see your email address here if want to get mail from every scamming scumbag on the planet, but it's not generally recommended!
Just keep an eye on the top right of any forum page you may be looking at for a PM notification mate & you'll be fine.
Mine looks like this to me:

I promise pictures as soon as I can, honest. At the moment I,m running around like a wazook. The boy has a gig in Cambridge on Monday and I'm the one who has to sort out the gear. Should be quieter next week and I'll get cracking.
If anyone is interested in the cassette based analogue recordings we have done, you can listen on www.joerubini.com, my son's website. I'll be back on Tuesday.
Love being here,
Regards to all,
Roger.
