Time to stock up

New Year's Eve is apparently not such a big deal over here (across the pond). People have blown their wads during the Christmas holidays, and now it's just a slow sobering process from the hangover (too much turkey/mash potato/Toblerone/wine).

Absolutly bugger all :( and because of the bad weather i couldn't get a flight to Spain, so i've been stuck in the UK for xmas.
If i had managed to get to Spain however, it would have been a late meal with friends, then as the bell tolls midnight you eat a grape at every chime and if you manage to finish your grapes by the last chime it is supposed to bring you good luck, then after that it would have been into Pamplona drinking and dancing until the wee hours.
Ohh well, i have a very nice bottle of single malt sitting here, think i may get pissed:cool:

Me too.:eyebrows: Although not at home.
Half of the 25KW of Funktion 1 sound system. Enough trouser flapping bass to make the portaloos in the car park resonate.

Very nice Andy :)
I remember setting up the sound system at the "Purple Haze" club here in pottyborough one night :eyebrows: There were a few decent DJs in attendance, Zinc, Randall etc :) Still managed to kill off 4 out of 8 x 18" subs by the end of the night (each was in about 27ft^3 - huge!) so things were kind of just shaking the hell out of the place :eyebrows: DJs always find a way of cranking it more
I had Tinitus for 3 days afterwards & the recording i made was no good because me, the video recorder, the table it was on & the stage was shaking like an damn earthquake... I was seeing double with the bass :mental:

Thats why a good sound engineer will ensure that the DJ's mixer (with all gains on maximum) will not go over 0db gain on the main desk. :)
Those F1 subs were 2 x 21" horn loaded.
You should have been on the last Hawkwind tour. Lighting was rubbish.

I will let Neil know you were un-impressed. :)
With Hawkwind, some tours definitely have more production budget than others. Also, some venues dont allow the full show due to stage size. Where did you see them at?
I have done their lasers on 3 different occaisons.:eyebrows:
