im Neo aka Nawin ( in the real world ) , from Mumbai .
Been a hifi nut since a kid ( 35 now ).

Im an electric guitarist, and mechanical engineer, loves Blues, Jazz Rock, Blues Rock - hundreds of albums , compilations on cassette tape, now primarily with CDs, and reviving my Vinyl section.

I love this forum for all its users and their great experiences with audio, being a guy who loves to get the best of whats at hand, i love tweaking with isolation, speaker placements, interconnects, etc.

Absolutely not into : country , americana, emo, hiphop.

Started off with audio playing around with old Sony, Denon, Pioneer and Technics, equipment. Now slowing entering areas of better sound! Love the warmth of valves, but crave the bite of solid state - hence in the quest of best of both.

Looking forward to be part of this great forum and learn a thing or two from its amazing members !

Hi John .My guitar is a PRS Tremonti single cut , have a beaten up Marshall amp, and zoom 7.1 T processor to fool around with...want to upgrade to a Marshall Haze halfstack ...! pretty basic stuff- but pull out lots of fun with that .

Hi Chris! ha ha ...i see you've noticed the speaker cables !! im not crazy about them either...im using half of them to wire the HF part of the biwired Quad 22Ls. LF i used a well abused obscure brand noones heard of ! but to quote the Dude ...it "ties" us the system, so far. Definitely open to suggestions.

Greetings from me as well. Now, you may find from reading hints here that QED speaker cables aren't really "in favour," and my personal experience of the Silver Anniversary cables have been nothing but negative after selling it and comparing with other wires.

Don't know what else is available out your way, but the 2.5mm Van Damme round cables would see SA off, the 4mm certainly so. if you ever see any second hand, Cable Talk 4.1 (dumb-bell) and Excel4 (fig 8) made SA sound trebly, small scale and constricted in dynamics.

To be fair to QED, their current wires have changed, but the retail prices are high when compared to online suppliers. have a look at Mark Grant's site for speaker wire ideas. I'm sure you may have an electrical supplier near you who could sell you some 2.5mm "50 strand" instrument cables which you could twist together yourself.

My son has a Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker reissue and it sounds amazing! Doesn't look as impressive as a half-stack but it's the real deal.
