New cartridge in place.

Listening to my new cartridge tonight and very happy. Got a Goldring 2500 on the end of my Jelco 250st.
Great build with a partial metal chrome finish and an easy captive alan screw fixing.
I was hoping i could cure the sibilance problem id been hearing but im surprised, it sounds a lot better than the Ortofon 2m thats been on my deck for the last year. The vocals are significantly better. The surface noise is much lower and no sibilance :)

Been looking for a Jelco at a good price myself, nothing! I just got the £200 Nagoaka on Marco's recommendation, hope it does the biz!

Im sure it will be . My new Goldring is made by Nagaoka and im very impressed.

Don't Goldring make their own cartridges any more? I honestly thought the 2000 series' were re-packaged 1000 models. If they're now made by Nagaoka, they should be better again for medium mass tonearms...

I could be wrong but ive read the 2000 series is made by Nagaoka.
Most of the 2500 owners seem to think it sounds different to the 1042 and they still seem to make the 1000 series.
I read some comments by Beolab saying the 2500 matches well with Jelcos so i thought id give it a go.
