Just bought some stuff for my TD124 from Germany. Of course, being German the vendor does not accept PayPal, so I have to make a payment through my bank (think Black Horse). Charge for sending €191 - £20! :steam: I thought PayPal charges were steep, but that takes the biscuit.

Just for future reference, when sending funds abroad to someone who does not accept PayPal, what are the best options? I'm hoping that there's a cheaper alternative than a bank for this sort of thing.

Shuggie, you may recall I sent you a UK Postal Order for the 'Shuggie 750D arm collar', I think the charge was about three quid on top... check it out.

I'm pretty sure Ebay rules state, that to sell on Ebay you have to accept paypal.
Whether you like it or not.
You should have reported them.
This happened to me when buying something, they were forced to accept my payment or lose the're account.

Those rules don't apply on eBay.de where interbank transfer is far more prevalent than Paypal usage.

Paypal on German Ebay is very much the exception. As John says Western Union & IMO's are the order of the day over there.

most banks charge for a international transfer i'm afraid, so your stuck with that or western union which places like cash converters accept, :(

I had a desperate experience with what I think is the same bank (think - they used to like to say yes) when sending a payment in Euro to France a little while back. Took too long and was too expensive.
