Hi
Emphasis on little (I know which end of a soldering iron to hold). I have been reading the forums with interest and will dive in shortly and show my complete ignorance but hopefully can add to the collective knowledge at times.
Currently vinyl orientated for real listening with all my digital media air gapped to avoid contamination... Clearly things have moved on and I need to now get my digital strategy in place so I am very interested in the DAC threads.
System
Rega Planar 3, RB3
Musical fidelity x-lps phono stage which I am about to replace with a valve based kit from WD.
Wad 6550 (built about 8 years ago and was the last time soldering iron used in anger - kids, you know how it goes)
Heybrook HB2
I also have an old Marantz cd52se. The drawer mech broke so was ready to skip it but may now retain as transport.
Beyond that I have enough computing power, networks and digitally stored music to sink a battleship but this was really only for on the move music. Now I must evaluate if this can truly be part of my hi Fi going forwards.
I also have a spare TT in attic Michell focus one I think with sme arm. May rig this up in my office soon.
Anyway that's me. Oh yes - in the currently frozen wilds of Wiltshire, UK.
