Currently looking at...

Lumix FS33
Limix TZ6
Lumic TZ8

Is the TZ8 a better buy than the 6...I can get them both for the same price.

Any others to be considered?
Image quality a priority..HD video not so much.
Touch screen LCD (like the 33) a bonus.

I'd go for the tz8 out of those buddy, just because it's newer really ...
You could look at a Sony w380 ... Less zoom but probably better in lower light
Or a Sony h55 - you can get them from camera box for £165 ... Same sort of thing at a panny tz series but slightly better in low light from what I can tell...
Panneys do take nice photos though, and for day light stuff would take a more pleasing to the eye photo than a Sony

Ooo ... Fuji f80exr would be another to concider, nice and small for the 10x zoom and good "happy" fuji colour

This time of year is a good time to get a good deal on a Fuji too, they slash the prices a lot more than other manufactures do in prep for the new releases early jan-march... If you buy a fuji from a shop, push them for a good deal on accesories, you are more likely to succeed at that with a fuji

Hi Gary,

Del's new one is a Canon Powershot SD1300 IS 12.1 IP - it certainly seems to take nice enough pics (bearing in mind that this was taken last night with a flash) :):

Cheapest place I could find the Canon for sale is here (at £116): http://panamoz.com/index.php/canon-powershot-sd1300-is-12-1-mp-digital-camera.html?___store=default

thanks guys, cute moggies marco, Calico tortoise-shells are they?

Hamish, I was thinking about the TZ8..but the FS33's specs look good and its got a 3" touch screen.
With the TZ8 I'd always be looking at it and thinking about a TZ7! (better reviews but out of budget)
..the options mentioned as well as the FS33 all seem good.

Theres a bit of a bargain on at Argos, the Sammy WB600 for £130?
Reviews look good, but nothing to make it stand out over the Panny's..what do you think Hamish?

Cheers
