I was just given a free pair of Bose 301 seris 2 speakers.
Perfact condition, 9 out of 10 condition (1980's vinage)

They where bought new, placed 7 feet up on a shelf hooked up and never touched, accept once to repaint the room and put back in the same place with no damage.

As some here may know,I'm not a Bose guy.But these things are so nice I just couldn't let them go to a goodwill or dump.

I thought about replaceing the 8 inch driver with something more efficiant and crossing them to a planer tweeter,to make use of the fantastic cabnet.

Any ideas?

I have yet to find a thing out of place. Not a single blemish.
The tweeters are all working perfactly,no foam rot at all.

Anyone know the specs on these?

Thanks Andre,
How is it Bose specs = 8 ohms,10 to 75 watts.
Thats it.Only Bose could get away with those kinds of specs.

Hi Jeff,Why not use them as they are?I think they used similar to these in the pub I used to visit in the eighties always thought they could pump out a good tune.
Dave.

Yah,Dave it wouldn't make much sence to make Franken speakers out of them.
There not going to be a good match for my 20watt per channel triode amp though.

They look in realy good condition, if you don't want them, i'm sure they wood fetch a good price on eBay, all Bose stuff seems to go for a good price on eBay, it must be the Badge.
