This is a very powerful laptop. Designed for gaming but is equally superb for day-to-day use. It’s in good condition. There are some marks here and there but it’s appearance is very acceptable.

Caringly cleaned and looked after. I could say it’s been refurbished but generally a refurbished laptop just means that it’s been cleaned, this has got new parts such as the PSU and the battery that generally wear out so it will last you for a long time to come.

The Graphics card is under warranty for 90 days
The Battery has a 1 year warranty as of 23rd October 2010

The screen is perfect, no drop-outs, no scratches.

Bought in 2006 for business use and I am the first owner.

A bargain at £399 ono +Delivery

Ooooh this sounds interesting :)

You have the full operating system discs rather than just repair discs?

Is service pack 3 installed? I'm hoping you say no, but i guess another re-install would cure that :eyebrows:

What type & speed is the HDD, any idea? I guess i'm spoilt having a 7200RPM HDD in my laptop ;) If it's IDE it'll be nigh on impossible to find another 7200RPM drive nowadays

Hi...

Yep, thet original OS discs are included. XP Professional.

SP3 is a downloaded update so because it's a totally fresh install it hasn't yet had done the SP3 updates.

Yeah, it's not a 7200rpm, I think it's 5200 (or something like that), not sure how to check to be honest. It's still quick enough though.

Top laptop, very servicable. Dedicated graphics card, easy swapable HDD from the side. Very well built.

I'm giving it deep thought Joe, & i won't answer with 42 either when i come to a conclusion :eyebrows:

Let me see if i can collar hold of a 7200RPM IDE drive & i'll probably take it off of your hands..

The way to answer the speed question quickly is to pull the HDD & let me know the manufacturer & part number, if it's easily removed it shouldn't take a jiffy :)

Meanwhile i'm off on a hunting trip

Hi Mark.

Just been looking too... It seems this drive works well.

Hi Joe, sorry fella i somehow missed your last post

I actually use a Hitachi Travelstar in this laptop i'm using here right now & it's also a 7200 RPM drive, the difference between that & 5400 RPM is not to be sniffed at :eyebrows:

Not exactly sure i want to go the refurbished route in all honesty as i'd have no idea how long the thing might last. At least with a new one it'll probably be good for 5 years or so.

The problem is the only new ones i have found so far are in Hong Kong or China  Not sure i want to go that route either tbh for obvious reasons :mental:

I'm still looking, don't think i have forgotten about it  There are features on that PC i have been looking for for a while & frankly XP Pro is perfectly fine for me, it's what i'm using now so i'm well used to it. Not only that i have a bunch of programs on here that probably wouldn't like anything else ;)

ok Mark... no probs. Thanks for your interest.

I would be open to an offer on this if that makes a difference. If not then thanks anyways.

Regards
Joe
