Just been into my local LIDL and they are doing packs of 50 Maxwell CD-R on a spindle for £4.99, or packs of 10 in slimline jewel cases for £2.79:).

Burn your cdr and then use this tool. Select the media test option and run a scan. A good burner / cdr brand will have no C2 errors and < 100 C1 errors.. Well my cdr's do.

I recently bought some intenso cdr and they give me around 500,000 c1 errors on 3 different burners!! utter crap... no use for audio but ok for general non critical use. Do some research re google as there are good and bad media / dye factories.
