The appliance of science?

I just bought a couple of electrical appliances that have left me with a smile on my face after noticing some of the features on them. The first one is the microwave. If you heat something up but don't take it out of the microwave the machine will start up again in a 'keep warm' mode. I have always wanted that facility and I am glad it's now available:).
The next one is the washing machine. It tells me the weight of the load and warns me when too much washing is inserted. Coming to think of it, the machine won't even start up unless you remove the extra load. I won't have to guess if I overloaded the machine any more :lol:.

Beware badge snobbery on these things. We, or should I say I, bought into the cachet of a 1400 spin B***h a few years ago. Bloody thing can't spin as well as the Zanussi I had when single and my better half has to spin everything twice. As a result I've recently had to replace the carbon motor brushes. Oh yeah, it clogs up around the rim of the door seal (where it meets the outer drum) and deposits goo on the washing every couple of weeks. Ghastly thing - "Clasixx" indeed :steam:

I feel so guilty, I only know how to use the micro oven (barely), the toaster and the bottle opener :o The dish washer, washing machine, paninni machine, and vacum cleaners I leave to the beloved gal as she has an inbuilt instinct as to how the alien beasties work. I told the beloved gal that all exertions will cut down on gym fees and keep her fit! I can assure all that there is no after life as on many ocassions I have have come back after being killed:rolleyes:

Nope, The Art of Sound is my domain and no way is she allowed anywhere near, I mean its like a man's shed or tool box, its sacred territory... could I be the last of the Okkers?

As to the avatar, I'm working on it but my PC is huffy with the flat bed scanner and won't transfer pics to the PC, damn and blast :steam:
