Hi,dont know if this is in the correct place or not or even if I have asked before,but here goes.Does anyone know how to remove the cloth covers including the supporting frame from a pair of impulse h2 speakers? as I cant see how it is done.

Never got the covers off,just glued the material back where it was coming loose did this by pulling the horns out and regluing to the sides.What problems are you having?

To be fair, none. Yet. But forewarned is forearmed, or something like that. My H2s need TLC, including replacement of the fabric, and I can see that the best way to do that is to simply remove the whole frame with fabric in situ, then recover appropriately. My wife may even decide on some sort of embroidered malarky.
I suspect that baby steps are likely to be the best way forward!

Other than the fabric issues, how are you finding them?

Are these the same as the Impulses Jimmy Hughes uses/used? many years ago? if so, I believe the grille frame lifted up before gently easing forward. His grilles were off and on like a tart's knickers and he never had difficulty removing them as I recall.

Try to get in touch with him via the mag he writes occasionally for (HFN?). I'm sure you'll get an informative reply :)

Hi,I think Jimmy's speakers were h1,same as Avinash has and yes the frames lift off as yousay on these.I think there may be a few different versions of h2 theres a pair on ebay at the moment and the tops on those lift off according to the photo shown but mine are all in one piece with the sides and top fastened together.Avinash got in touch with Jimmy and as I remember he didnt know either.I think some late model h2 dont have the vents to the top and back as mine do.:scratch:
