I know, horrid violent time wasting games for kids who should be doing their homework, phew!
However, if you play you’ll laugh……………….maybe smile, even if you don’t play.

Love it - I can mostly relate to "Dumbass" though "Lagger" has been prominent this week trying to play Black Ops...:steam:

Glad it made someone grin at least ;)
What do you play Alex apart from Black Opps?
I’m not big on the realistic warfare games. I do have a huge soft spot for Unreal Tournament 3 which I have some 26 Gigs of  It’s a gorgeous looking game but a bit of a pig to get looking its best.
I don’t know what your patience level with the average online game player is but if you like your shooters fast and skillful you might like this.

If it grabs you let me know and I’ll introduce you to some of the more “mature” members of my clan.
Oh arr, we got women in the clan too :eyebrows:

Hi John,

Must confess I have not ventured too far from the COD franchise since I became addicted to the original Modern Warfare, then last year. Modern Warfare 2. I didn't like World at War much, (for some reason, I find WW2 games (especially) disrespectful to the veterans - entertainment derived from real scenarios where real people died is not really my thing) not least that I think Treyarch didn't do such a great job... Black Ops I'm still undecided on. I've tried a few others, but I find I'm so used the the COD stick layout now I get my fingers and thumbs all in a muddle! Maybe I should try and be a bit more adventurous!

blimey, UT3?!
I used to love the first one, I never even knew they made a second....
I have to have a go. Is there a single player mode so I can get back in practice?

Oh arr Dan, there are three versions now; the original UT, UT2004 and UT3.
You can pick up UT3 for around a fiver these days…….but……you will need a fairly powerful computer to run it in all its glory. The recommended specs are very conservative.
If you do decide to get a copy, drop me a line and I’ll try to get you sorted out with the stuff you need but doesn’t come with the basic game.

Almost forgot; UT3 has one of the best single player options I've come across. The online scene is pretty quiet, the younger players tend to move on to whatever game is that months flavour. there is however very good hardcore fan base support for the game amoung the more "mature" gaming community.
