So I've been a member of other forums too and remember when Marco was called Stallion and James was called Belzebub and Mick was called Mick.

This seems like a really comfy forum and I hope to fit in here as my CD player is 17 years old, my valve amps are 23 years old and my speakers are Quad ESLs.
I don't chop and change kit very often (read hardly at all) but should be able to contribute what I've learned along the way by listening to other kit at home or by offering advice on the stuff I do have.

Same username but you won't remember me as I didn't have much experience of Naim gear at the time and I'd have been too timid to get involved in the flame wars!

My system has a dedicated mains consumer unit and unswitched sockets with separate lines for the source and amps along with a separate ring for the speakers. Source is a Wadia 16 modded by Coherent Systems directly feeding a pair of EAR 509mkII monoblocs into Quad 989s. My musical taste is broad so the system needs to be pretty balanced which is something I think I've managed to achieve.
