Not really Hi Fi, but Citronic have produced the CLA 300 (http://www.citronic.co.uk/product/171.227UK), a miniature fully active line array. Whilst I accept it is designed for pro applications, the thought of a pair of these hanging either side of a 60" plasma screen does seem rather good.

Features include two 300Wl amps, active crossover and full DSP control. They can be ground stacked if your ceiling isnt up to it and are avasilable in white for a more discreet look. I have seen these for less than £750, which doesnt seem too bad. If you are feeling flush, up to four sets can be arrayed.:)
