Metal Film Resistors!

Well i'm looking for a very high quality resistor to use in a rebuild, i've always been an Holco fan but the originals are near on impossible.

Has anyone tried the 'TAKMAN' Metal Film Resistors at all?

I've used the Takman carbons,and they are very good. I'd give the metals a go Andre,I've read good things about them. Cheap too.

Depending on where they're going, of course! :)

Yeah, Mikey, it depends on the 'sonic signature' of the preamp in question... Metal films could take things over the edge with some designs, hence why carbons may be better.

Croft preamps though as rather even-handed, tonally, and so the metal films work very well in that application - adding some nice extra detail, clarity and top-end sparkle :)
