bump with a pic
I just bought some old studio magazines and there is an original review of the SP10 MkII circa 1974 (or 78?) in one of them by....... Kenny Everett ! The best decks he'd ever used..
That would be interesting, anyway to get it on the forum mate?
Yeah, sure I've got a scanner...
Where would it be good to put it?
It's a two-part review, anecdotal from a DJ's perspective and a technical review by a Hugh someone - format of the mag is very much like old Hifi News's so I suspect the same publisher and so similar writers perhaps?
Hi Nat,
I'd like to read that, too, so when you get a chance, please post it on a new thread in Analogue Art - cheers!

Did you know....at the launch of the SP-10II to the broadcasting industry, there were quite a few DJ's there, Kenny Everitt, Noel Edmunds, Johnny Walker etc. if I remember correctly. Mr Everitt stood on the SP-10 and told those closest to start it up. It rotated, he flew off and twisted his ankle (probably on landing). All in the name of testing!
Noel Edmunds did quite a few launches of Technics products to the trade, etc...he wasn't bad at it either-very professional-rehearsed script no doubt...
