They certainly let you know when they are upset, i'm going to the Vendee' just below the Loire Valey, i go about 5 times a year and have friends and relations living there so i'm quite used to the French way of life. i actually get on very well with them, there are a few Hifi shops in Nantes and i've spent an hour or two in this (http://www.staccato-hifi.com/) shop some very nice kit they have too, i also have a few French mates from my other hobby of playing with old engines, my French is crap but i get by especially when you have a common interest.
