Then you will probably be interested in this.-

A friend of mine recently introduced me to Donald Russell (http://www.donaldrussell.com/) online butcher, by appointment to Queen Elizabeth II. I am guessing there arent many butchers who can boast that. I have been told their meat is of the utmost quality and delivered flash frozen in insulated shipping cartons in under 48 hours.

Currently, they are doing a half price mixed steaks pack (http://www.donaldrussell.com/pages/otp_product/otp_product.asp?otp_prod=BPCM919) £29 for 7 steaks with free delivery. Apparently, the rib eye is terriffic. :)

Good find, Andy - that looks superb value. I'm always torn between the silky-smooth texture of a fillet and the extra flavour of a ribeye, so best of both and for that price, a bargain. I'd better check with the boss but steak for Friday night's dinner sounds good.

Is the Atkins the one where you say "oh sod it!?" Yes, in that case that's the one I'm on! :lol: Being (slightly) serious, I do try and only have red meat once a week, so might as well make it a good one! And another thing... has to be rare - nothing worse than an overcooked steak. Chop its horns off, wipe its arse, and put it on the plate! :)
