Further to my thread about new band Little Comets, I have been listening to another band who's début CD I have seen floating about the shops.
I have an inbuilt aversion to most 'new' bands I as I find them to be mostly formulaic 'indie' type stuff not to my liking but I have been forcing myself recently to listen to things rather than just write them off beforehand.
So, this leads me to The XX. I have watched a few tracks on youtube and I think they are actually quite good. Of course, they do seem to be a 'great band in the making' and are a little less polished than perhaps they ought to be, but they are young and obviously talented. I may buy this CD this week.
Anyway, let me know what you think.
