Hi All

Shaun here, got a TD160 with a rewired Rega R200 on the way.

I was going to try and buy a Thorens deck with mods and tonearm already done but I figured out it will be more fun to do them myself & learn as I go.

So I plan to mod my deck to get the best out of it.

Into all sorts of music, Led Zep and Bowie top the list but also love all sorts from The Beastie Boys, Miles Davis, The Doors, Nick Drake, Slayer, The Smiths, etc. Anything really.

The sound I am looking to get is warm, full of tone and depth. Will be asking loads of questions no doubt.

Hi skelkelly.

There is lots of info about for Thorens 160 mods on the net. Not such a popular deck here but I had one for years in various states of modification (the S version) :)
