Yo Bro,
I'm not sure this will help much, but I use the ms12-B and it's brilliant.
I think the 22 is just the phono section of the 12B.

Ourdogmax, Thanks for the info. Trying to find a tube preamp to replace my NAD PP2. I have a large home theater receiver.(I have to mix the listening room with the theater) :(. thinking the tube preamp will give me some warmth and a little more detail.

Hi Bobby

I haven't seen the 22B but I have a 12B. It sounds good, but I initially had a lot of trouble with spurious whistling noises. The tubes in the second stage were extremely microphonic and their heater voltages were somewhat high. I found some NOS tubes that worked well and now all is fine.

I went from a heavily modded NAC62 to an ms-12b with phono & cd as sources - not the outright resolution of the Naim, but very engaging. I then bought an old Croft Micro to try, & am still using it today - resolution of the Naim, plus imaging and a superb phono stage IMO :)

I own a 22B, which has had the stock tubes replaced with Sovtek LPS. It's very good and a bargain for the money. No odd behaviour from mine and a very natural, engaging presentation. Not at all "in your face" like another unit I trialled.
