It seems The Scots have something to celebrate today. I'll let Robin explain. :)

Aye, Rangers winning the old firm game (again)... That's what Robin will be celebrating!

Not all Scots Barry, just the ones of a blue persuasion, firstly nothing is won in September but after the last few seasons of watching absolute sh**te , we are beginning to look like a team, again home fans only due to the actions the few Ned’s from both sides, but as per last Sunday in the cup game the Rangers team dominated Celtic, not something we have said to often in recent years.

The league is not won as I said and Celtic still have a 2 point in the league, so we will see how it goes after the International break.

Not at all. As I said when the original thread was started: "I know nothing about football". Although I believe Celtic and Ranger's fans detest one another, and the animosity originally was based on religious differences.

Which team are "blue"?

Indeed, but let's not go there. Robin and I don't detest each other, though. I have Rangers supporting friends. We just like our team to pump the other!:D

As Marco has stated we don’t detest each other, in fact the only thing I detest is the nonsense that surrounds this fixture and has done for over a 100 years.

I blame my dad, who first took my to Ibrox in the early 60’s, but once you have seen players that used to grace that pitch Jim Baxter etc, I was hooked.

So you and Marco support different teams? And although the two of you take the game seriously, I'm glad to know you don't detest one another.

Yes Barry, Marco is a Celtic supporter and I support Rangers, also known as the “Old Firm”.

Not quite the same rivalry, but I’m a Norwich fan and just about everyone else I know including wife and both kids are Ipswich fans. Ipswich seem to be doing better than us at the moment, but I have faith in the ex-Rangers manager Phlippe Clement improving Norwich and ex Norwich player now Ipswich manager Gary Holt sabotaging them!

Football rivalry is odd. About ten years ago when the kids were little we were in a McDonalds having a bit of banter with some builders, a laugh and a joke - when my wife mentioned I was a Norwich fan one of them quite seriously said he could no longer talk to me and went and sat on a table on his own away from me! I suppose I should be thankful he didn’t jump me on the way out! I really can’t take it that seriously, but I suppose some people do.

Unfortunately a lot people take it far too seriously, I always have a look at how Norwich are doing, Clement should have been given more time at Rangers.

Idiot... With Celtic and Rangers you could've got stabbed for less. It happens, Robin, doesn't it?

And that's the kind of pish you and I detest - especially the religious shite!:wanker:

Exactly, lots of Ned’s in hoodies and masks, most of them have little or no idea about religion

They have no idea about politics either. I expect the Cretins voted for Brexit, and now follow Farage's quasi-Fascists.

Think you are right Barry, looks like the same idiots at the different protests, turn up anywhere hoping to cause chaos and disruption.

Apparently Glasgow Rangers were relegated to the bottom of the Scottish tiers after being found guilty of some misdoing or other. Here's hoping that Man City get relegated there too.

Only downside is that we'd have all the Man City fans defending the undefensible over here too!
