I am not sure if you have seen, but frequent database errors are affecting the performance of the forum.

Yes, the forum was unavailable to me all day yesterday , also shortly outages for the last few weeks.

Marco's just informed me (via our two baked beans tins connected with string) that he has recently upgraded it to clockwork. And none of the installers thought to tell him about the windy-key thingy. Technology can be a bitch when you're getting on in years.

The database error occurred early yesterday morning. I immediately notified Nick who is our resident expert in these matters to see if he could help. However yesterday he was very busy with other matters, so I asked him to fix things when it was convenient.

The worry is that yesterday's outage was the third in as many days; and Nick would have spend time to find out why. So now the Forum is back up and running, but there is a distinct possibility that the data error may occur again tomorrow (and maybe Monday as well).

So please bear with us, we are as frustrated with the situation as well.
