View Full Version : Eeerrrhhh....hello
Hi, my real name is Richard and I live near the town of concrete cows. I'm more of a reader than a poster but if something does get me interested/riled I'm sure I while be posting a comment or two.
My system is a bit of a mix. I have the old, like a leak stereofetic tuner I picked up a few months ago from a 2ndhand shop for £15(!!), to the new(ish) in the form of a 'semi-digital' amp from Tact/Lyngdorf.
My tastes in music are mainly indie/rock but I buy/listen to a wide range including blues/jazz/classical......whatever rocks my boat. Currently listening alot to the first 2 Band of horses albums.
Thanks for looking...

Hi Richard, welcome to AoS chap :) Good of you to say hello rather than jumping in all ranting & raving on some thread :eyebrows:
Like all the other members here you are free to post whenever you like, i'm sure you'll find something worth talking about or joining in ;)
Don't you just love these "new towns" Half of my city is & i don't think they have a clue what the heck they were doing when they designed it
All the best & i hope you enjoy your stay

Hi Richard!
Welcome to the Art of Sound.
We're glad to see you here. Don't be afraid to pipe up. Your first post is almost perfect in every way! The only other thing that we like to see is your Christian name in your 'signature', that way we're all able to refer to each other in a much more friendly way. If you'd like to put some photos of your equipment into the Gallery section, we'd love to see them.
Cheers
Welcome from me as well :)
Your city was designed using coffee cups wasn't it - all those roundabouts, I knew them well and may be passing through during half term
Where was this second-hand shop, by the way?
Hi Richard,
Welcome to AoS! :)
Excuse my ignorance, but what is the "town of concrete cows", and where is "MK Territory" - Milton Keynes?
If it's Milton Keynes, what relevance are the "concrete cows"?
Remember I'm a northerner with little knowledge of towns in the south!
Marco.
I thought everyone knew about the Milton Keynes concrete cows...
What started life as an ordinary village has exploded into a city of brick, concrete and glass, not as horrid and soul-less as Slough or Bracknell, but a sprawl nonetheless which was slowly creeping westwards, last I passed through it a few years ago.
Thanks, Dave, it's interesting to know, but these days I rarely venture from my environs in 'miles from any concrete jungles' North Wales, so am completely oblivious as to what exists in other parts of the country....
As for Slough or Bracknell - never been there, and by the sounds of it, I'm unlikely to go either!
Marco.

Just remember Marco, google is your friend :eyebrows:
Honestly, if you google the aforementioned cows it'll tell you all about it
Haha, yes I know, but I couldn't be arsed and knew someone would be along soon to tell me! :eyebrows:
Marco.

Why have a cow and moo yourself? :eyebrows:
