For sale: vintage Sony TA-2650 integrated amplifier

As title, very nice condition and working. Casework very good, fascia unmarked, all lettering intact. The controls work beautifully (as you might expect from vintage Sony).

43W + 43W rated power, reviews report it seems like a lot more.

Priced a lot cheaper than ones I've seen for sale, £60 + £10 delivery, or collect.

Your Sony TA-2650 was Sony's top of the range amplifier in the mid '70s.

Yours looks to be in excellent condition. :) GLWS

Cheers Barry. The 2650 was a standard 'bipolar' design (it says here), same as the TA-1630 below it, and the TA-3650. Further up the chain, the 4650, 5650 and range-topping 8650 used Vertical Field Effect Transistors (VFETs), which although giving superior sound quality were apparently prone to "catastrophic failure", with the VFETs being unobtainium.

This is all stuff I didn't know till just now.
