Sold: Edifier S3000 Pros on Atacama SE 24 stands

Up for sale is my pair of Edifier S3000 Pro Class-D active speakers on Atacama SE24 stands.

I've used this combination for five years, but have now upgraded, so these are for sale.

The S3000 Pros are active speakers (built-in amplifiers), so only need a line-level or Bluetooth source. The power is more than enough for most circumstances, being 128W per channel (120w for the woofer, 8w for the tweeter).

Connectivity is excellent. I've used them solely with the XLR balanced inputs, but there's plenty for everything...

Each speaker has its own internal power supply, so requires connecting to mains. The cables are included (white ones), however any figure of 8 power cable will work.

These are impressively capable stand mounts, which have incredible low end response - moreso than the figures would suggest. They're rear-ported so need to stand a little distance from the walls, but the controls on the rear allow one to tailor the low and high end frequencies, as does the built-in DSP; a variety of audio scenarios can be accessed from the remote control (also included).

I used these on sand-filled Atacama SE 24 stands, which are included. They are exceptionally heavy and solid stands, and are highly regarded in the hi-fi world. I added cones to the bottom of the speakers as the standard feet were slightly too far apart to sit on the stand tops. They are easily removeable if one wishes.

Functionality is perfect. These are power houses and perform perfectly.

Condition...

As much as I take care of my hi-fi, inevitably these have picked up some marks. The right speaker has a chip in the top plate and a couple of very light scratch marks here and there. The left speaker has a small mark on the left of the top plate. The grilles covers are included, one has a couple of grazes on it though.

The stands are old but good. They've had a life with several marks and chips on them, but one could, if so inclined, give them a coat of paint and make them look like new. The top plates, for obvious reasons, have chipped paintwork, but of course this isn't visible when the speakers are on them.

All in all, if you want a pair of active speakers, that look nice and perform exceptionally well, on stands that are strong enough to balance a car on top, then this is what you want.

The stands weigh a LOT, and the speakers aren't exactly light too. I don't have the original box for the speakers, so bring blankets to wrap them up. I will of course demonstrate the speakers with a number of sources before you pay me, to ensure you are satisifed with them.

That is a bargain! I wish I had the need/place for them, my son has my old BT1700’s (much lower down the range) and they are fantastic, these were too big to replace them, but I was sorely tempted at more than 3 times the price you are asking!

Add a WiiM Mini (currently £75) into the optical and you have a remarkable streaming system!

Indeed it is. These are massively capable speakers and not to be underestimated. The DSP is frankly incredible and allows huge room-tailoring. Even the stands themselves are worth a third of the price.

I would keep them, but you know how it is - one simply ends up with piles of kit laying about doing nothing. I have the Motives in my lounge, another pair of active Edifiers in the conservatory, another pair in the loft, I have Adams in the studio, and some little Roxels there too, and various Echo speakers around the place; these are just wasted sitting doing nothing. :D
