TOTL streamer from Pioneer from a few years ago, it weighs a ton and sounds great.
Function wise, it's not directly supported any more but it still has an Android app with Tidal, Deezer, Spotify and TuneIn or it can be used as a DLNA endpoint and with other apps via Chromecast or AirPlay, or ultimately a standalone dac with another streamer (or CDP for that matter). It has a remote control so not dependent on the app for most functionality.
Build wise it weighs as much as a proper amplifier at over 11kg with separate digital and analogue transformers and a three-chamber shielded chassis that isolates the digital power supply and circuitry from the analog, eliminating electrical and magnetic interference.
The DAC section can upsample to 384kHz and 32bit (separately switchable) and has a digital filter with 3 settings (sharp, slow and short). I leave the upsampling off and use the sharp setting which I found suited my system but it gives more flexibility.
It also has an interesting function I've never seen before for reducing jitter by adjusting the lock range accuracy. This does make a perceivable improvement in the sound. You narrow the lock range to the highest setting the dac can manage with a particular source and sample rate (so set a bigger lock range with a higher resolution file for example) to minimise the jitter.
You can plug a hard drive into the back with a claimed limit of 2TB, but I found a hack online and have been using a 4TB drive with 2 2TB partitions. It should be possible to expand any HDD to fit with multiple 2TB partitions but I haven't confirmed this.
Separately from the streamer it can also be used as a balanced 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256 capable DAC with USB, coaxial and optical inputs and XLR and RCA outputs.
The sound reminds me of the Marantz CD94 MkII I had with twin TDA1541A S1 dac chips. It's a beguiling, "liquid", non-fatiguing,"analogue" sound. I'm often critical of those sort of descriptions but somehow they just seem right in this case. I was even more surprised by this as it has ESS Sabre dacs which I don't normally get on with.
Condition is excellent except for some small rubs at the back on the edge as seen.
