Hi everyone
I’m the happy owner of a vintage Mcintosh MC2500, lovingly dubbed “the black beast”(as its black & is powerfull enough to possibly use as a welder)
I’ve just had it completely refurbished, and the technician at the repair shop commented on the switch on the front of the amp
There is a “sticker” + the switch, that says: “Power guard - model P613”
He’s one off the official Mcintosh repair guy’s here in Denmark and he’s never come across this, according to him “professional installation” before
That got me searching the interweb + a mail to the danish Mcintosh dealer - all came up “empty”
So I’m hoping that someone in here knows what this is and possibly why this was installed!?
As always I really appreciate your insight
