Highly modified Rega P3 turntable

Inspired by what Willbewill did with a basic Rega I decided to have a go.
Upgrades include:
new Rega 24v motor (£150)
new Rega Neo power supply (£150)
new Rega EBLT belt (£17)
new Iceni sub platter (£99)
new Iceni platter (£140)
Rega RB330 tonearm (£330)
Rega P3 plinth (£40)


The parts were all bought late 2023 and are still in excellent condition and working beautifully. Any marks apparent are reflections.

I've thorougly enjoyed this deck but the recent completion of a Lenco 88 has made me choose between the two. There are subtle differences between the two but my roots say stick with the Lenco. The Rega runs silently at a very stable speed and sounds lovely.

Total spend: £926 but yours for £625. I would prefer collection but could post if necessary.

Really glad this has gone to a good home Ian - I would have loved it but couldn't justify another turntable! It looks amazing and I am sure sounds as good so I hope the new owner enjoys it.

Thanks Alex I know the problem of having too many turntables! I have just finished the restoration of a Goldring Lenco 88 so it was a toss up between that and the Rega. Wife preferred the Rega but in the end I had more time and effort invested in the Lenco so decided to keep that one.

The buyer on ebay decided he didn't want this as certain parts were missing :angry: Yes, this was true, I'd removed the switch and cable for the standard motor as this was not needed given the 24v motor and Neo power supply. I also removed the cup for the rear foot in order to make space for the 24v motor. Given this was advertised on ebay as a highly modified Rega P3 I don't think his request for a return was fair especially as I am pretty certain that he was going to split the deck up and sell for parts.

So it's back up for sale and I am willing to consider offers for any of the parts. Pm me if interested.

I've decided this has got to go as I have too many turntables. It is in fabulous condition and the upgrades make it work brilliantly. £500 collected or we can discuss meet up/delivery for petrol money.
