Radio interference question.

I have my Quad 33 and 303 working and the tuner with an internal aerial, i get a clear signal (sometimes) but as I have a lot of electronics and leds I get interference.
If i install an external aerial will this cure the issue or are the electronics interfering with the tuner itself?.
I do need to fit some ferrite blocks which will help.
Also if external is the route to take any reccomendations on what to get ?.

Hard to say, external aerial will give a much stronger signal but if the interference is not due to weak signal it will still happen.

Aerial installer is the best man to advise on the type of aerial, what configuration is optimal varies depending on location.

If you listen to a lot of broadcast radio then it's worth doing anyway. I had one put in years ago wasn't expensive and he took a Sanyo direct drive turntable in part payment too.

Thanks the signal here (Devon) isn't great so I may try that first.

The key thing here is SINR (Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio). By putting an aerial outside you are increasing the -dBm of the input signal and thus the 'loudness' of the input signal and you are in effect pushing the internally generated noise more into the background and should obtain a higher quality signal with less audible internal noise. If you can install an antenna that has diversity rather than single vertically polarised one, then the effects will be even greater.
