You only have to look at how the used price of the SL1200 rapidly increased three fold once Technics discontinued them in 2010. Although it seems to have stabilised around £700 for a good one in the past few years. Possibly because there's now a new version again.

A lot of what hangs around is mediocre, had an unrealistic price when it was new, and has an unrealistic asking price now it's used.

Croft was always realistically priced when new.

There's no doubt some general economic uncertainty restraining the market but I also think the market is now a little wiser about value than it used to be.

I still see genuinely good equipment that's being offered at a realistic price being snapped up within days or even hours whereas, at the extreme end, multi thousand pound cables being offered at a fraction of the original RRP mostly hang about forever like a bad smell.

Possibly. People also fancy a change, God knows I have over the years, sometimes you get an itch for a specific piece of equipment. Sometimes pieces of kit fill this demand and they get snapped up quickly for fear that their may not be another example for several years to come to the market.

You are correct. I had two of every model that Glenn made, one on demo and one in stock. They all sold within ten days of Glenn passing away. God bless him.

I am still using my Micro 25 and Series 7 amplifiers, they do get rotated in and out on occasion due to only having one main room for the hifi stuff these days. Every time the Crofts go back in, I’m overjoyed at what great music they make, and I just love the simplicity of them. Wonderful little amps!

I have one on eBay at the moment. I tried the forum route but it's tiresome at the moment with gear just not shifting. Anyway, thought I'd mention.
