As an alternative to splashing a large amount of cash on comercial cables just yet, I've decided to play around with a couple of home-made alternatives.
The set I'm using at the moment use 6 runs of CAT6 cable which I've braided and covered with a woven mesh cover. Each of the twisted pairs are separated so that one of each goes to the +ive and -ive connectors. I have to say that for the little they cost they do work rather well.
I'm also about to try another design using a double run of EcoFlex 15 coax cable, following the design of the UBYTE-2 from TNT audio. Again this will cost a very minimal amount, so just thought I'd give it a try.
