I am looking for some speakers that have a similar sound signature to my KEF Coda 7, 9 & C. In my search I have spotted some KEF 60s for €50.
Are these a good match, sonically?

Most probably, yes. KEF don't tend to stray from the basic principles of good loudspeaker design.

Having looked at specs, I think the KEF "eggs" would be better.

I love my (sadly currently stored) Coda 9's - a very underrated speaker.

The eggs are really quite good.

The last question now is which eggs.
I can buy two of the 2000 series for €60 or for €250 a set of the 3005SE which I think are top of the line as far as the eggs go.

I don't know which version I listened to. At those prices you could just get all of them.

I have just bought the 3005se, which is the speaker they did before the LS50, apparently.
It is a newer model, so hopefully less age related issues.

7.1 will be set up, and when I change my receiver, I will go atmos.

They have arrived today.
Unceremoniously dumped over the wall into the garden.
It was a delivery with signature/code.

I will wait for them to warm up to room temperature before plugging them in to see if everything is ok.
Cosmetically, they look fine.

I bet they're really good.

They work, and they sound great.
Way overspec for atmos speakers, but they will do nicely.
