WTD CD Player to be used as a Transport circa £100

Hi All,

Happy Holidays to everyone!

I am looking for a CD player to use as a transport/source for a couple of headphone DAC/AMPs that I have. Only requirements are a digital coaxial out, reliable, around £100 and shippable to the Highlands (at my cost).

If you don't need a remote I've got a HHB pro cd player and recorder which is a rebadged Pioneer Elite stable platter machine. It makes an excellent transport. I could do it for £50 plus postage but I'm away this week and I'd need to source a robust box which shouldn't be impossible.

Hi Lawrence, I should be receiving the Tascam over the next few days but am still intrigued by your offer of the HHB and will keep it in mind. I have yet to listen to a cd player with the stable platter mechanism so out of curiosity which model designation is yours? I have plenty of room in the attic...

It's the CDR800, full copper chassis, twin transformers (I presume for digital and analogue) so a very good piece of kit.

I spotted a good box in a commercial bin behind a cafe on the way home from work this evening so hopefully I can get it packed, measured and weighed by the end of the week for you.
