The Tacima tends to go for about £20 s/h they are £40 new.

Would also be helpful to put the voltage of the Maplin PSU, I suspect it's car/caravan level is that 12.8v?

Thanks for that Laurence, price adjusted, I must have been having a wobbly.

Maplin supplies are generally set at about 13.8V, though there is a trimmer inside.
